Busy-ness

Today was a beautiful sunny day in Sussex. We played in the yard and went for a nice long walk and had all the windows open and doors to let the fresh air in. It was lovely.

The last week or so Mark has spent painting. He painted the living room which was blue and turned it into a pale pale almost white looking grey, and he is putting the last coat of paint on in Braeden's room - it was bright bright yellow and is now a pale pale almost white looking yellow. Much better much more neutral.

We were considering painting downstairs as it is the same shade of blue as the living room and with the small windows it makes it kinda dark down there but it's soooooo much work that we decided against it. We will just put down a cheap carpet and be done with it. We don't want to be in this house for too long (a few years at most) anyways cuz it's like totally not the right house for us so we are just fixing it up to make it more appealing and that will be it.

Since we got here he also changed the kitchen sink and removed the pedestal sink from the bathroom and put in a nice vanity with a marble countertop. What an improvement. At some point when Mark has a job and has tucked some money away we may do the floors upstairs in the bathroom and kitchen as it's lino but for now I think this is all the updating we can safely do.

We need to save some money so we can have fun since Mark is only off work for another two months tops. Some of that fun includes a trip to Calgary for 2 weeks at the end of November and the rest is touring around this beautiful area we live in.
