Just for the fun of it..

Look to your right and you will see a "poll" with the question "When will DQ be born"

I know it's not the same since it's an induction but just for fun VOTE.... make a guess...it'll be fun to see if you are right!!!!!!!! After all...induction can take 48 hours or so depending on how it goes.

Oh yes and I had the doc's appt' this morning and she did another membrane sweep. And I had a non-stress test and that was good too...I was tired tho and was VERY close to falling asleep...lol. good thing the machine can tell when DQ moves since I am sure I missed a movement or two and thus didn't push the button! LOL.

Anyway, have fun voting.........I chose Thursday afternoon...wishful thinking??? heheh

Update

It's been a few days again since I wrote anything on here. Sorry about that.

Mark did not work on Monday or Tuesday of this week because his back was still too sore. He went back to work on Wednesday and is only working at the shop on "light" duty. So far it's been o.k. but was bothering him slightly yesterday. He has to be so careful!

Oh yeah, on Sunday we saw Cliff n' Lori for a bit as the four of us headed to an open house in our area. Older house which needs lots of work and it was a lil pricey. The house was solid though and could be really nice again with some work.

On Tuesday we decided to go for a drive and ended up in Canmore which was kinda nice. Beautiful drive as we didn't take the highway. beautiful scenery!

On Wednesday Kimmy came over and we went for lunch and then she was really nice and helped me clean the inside of the car and we let the doggies run in the alley for a bit and then she helped me make dinner and of course she stayed for dinner too! It was nothing fancy - just a tuna casserole. Then I had a very serious craving and so we headed to Costco where we got a carrot cake which was sooooooooo yummy!

Yesterday I had my 36 week 4 day doctor's appointment. She checked and I was 2 cm dilated so she did a membrane sweep.

I have another appointment on Monday morning and a non stress test the same day. On Wednesday I have an ultrasound and if I haven't gone into labor by Thursday I am scheduled for an INDUCTION at 7:15 am!!!

DQ will be here veerry soon! Please keep all three of us in your prayers especially during the next week.

Thanks guys!

36 Weeks

Here's a pic of my belly at 36 weeks 1 day.

I had an ultrasound this morning which Mark was able to come to since he can't work on account of his back. Anyway, the ultrasound went well and DQ is measuring at just under 7 pounds. Everything looked good. He is growing well etc. etc. It's almost at the end now.

I am pretty sure we're going to go with an induction next week but I may wait until the 38th week to see if maybe I can go into labor all on my own which of course is ideal but at the same time I wouldn't want to wait any longer than 38 weeks and neither does the doc. So on Thursday evening or Friday I will fill you in on what we decide as far as induction goes.

On another note, Mark had to take today off as his back was more sore than yesterday and he isn't sure if he will be going to work tomorrow either. Please PRAY that he starts feeling better really really soon. I hate to see my sweetheart in pain. And he feels bad because stuff isn't getting done around here and now we're also losing money since he can't work. So please please please pray for him!

Thank you!

Stuff

Weekend:

Well it's Friday again already. Again we had big plans for the weekend and again we won't be able to do much because Mark hurt his back again today at work. He says that he was taking it easy but I guess he wasn't taking it easy enough :(

He still plans on moving some stuff tomorrow as he has the work truck and a buddy coming to help him. He says he'll do what he can and take it easy. Ugh i wish we didn't have so much stuff to do right now because he really should just be resting his back.

*Nope another change - Mark won't be doing any work again tomorrow because his back is REALLY sore! I just got some Robaxacet for him..hope that helps. Please pray that he rests and feels better soon as he is really starting to get upset and frustrated with this.*

To answer your question *L* we are de-cluttering the house and stuff is either going to value villiage or the dump. The rest of my Dad's stuff will be moved out to the garage for now as well. And don't worry - I am taking it easy! It's all I can do right now but I still try to do what I can each day.

Most of you know that we had hoped to move by March or shortly thereafter to NB but we've decided to take the timeline off the table as things keep coming up and getting in the way of us doing the work we need to do.

Mark's back is one.

Things keep coming up with my Dad .

I am pretty tired and heavy now and am feeling pretty useless when it comes to packing or doing any real physical work.

I do the best I can to keep the meals on the table and the house tidy and cookies made for lunches and that's about it.

There is so much to do and it really is too much for Mark to try and get done all by himself. Yeah, he has his buddy to help tomorrow but he's moving to ontario in the next week or two and mark has to help him move his stuff in exchange for tomorrow. And then he's on his own again. Somehow it will all get done - it's just a matter of time.

Baby update:

We went to the doc yesterday and everything is fine. The boy is moving around appropriately and i am gaining more than enough weight. My blood pressure was 120/80 and the boy's heartrate was 134 bm.

I have an ultrasound on Monday and another doc's appt. on Thursday at which time we will be picking a date for the induction the following week. Oh and I am supposed to go in to the hospital for another non-stress test at some point next week. I will book that appt on Monday I guess.

Anyway, that's enough for now. I don't have any new pictures for you but on Sunday i will have an updated belly shot and I have taken a few cute pics of the dogs but haven't uploaded them yet. When I do I'll post em for ya!

Have a great weekend everyone!

*Sigh* - Move # 2

As you know we moved my father out a month ago into a room that we rented for him in a house not that far from here.

Little did we know that the lady was renting the house herself and she had received an EVICTION notice prior to us moving my father in!

Almost two weeks ago we received a phone call from my father telling us that they had all been evicted and had to be out of the house by the 16th.

We headed over there to talk to the lady and find out what the heck was going on and to get our money back as we'd paid for two months rent...well she didn't want to give it to us and that was quite a battle but in the end Mark managed to get it from her...way to go honey!

What a nightmare!

Anyway, so we then had to look for a place for my father to stay AGAIN and this time only for two months so we looked and looked and couldn't find anything. Seemed that the rent went up 100 dollars in the 3 weeks since we'd moved him the first time. We were getting extremely frustrated and then my sister called to say that her boyfriend had found a place for us to look at.

So we went to look at the place. It was a house being rented by a bunch of young 20 yr olds but the father of one owned the home so we knew we'd be okay there....so we head downstairs to where the available room was...well there is a drum set and other musical instruments in the "living area" outside of the room for rent...the guys are in a band! No! this will not work we said and felt so disappointed...then the guy says well I guess we could rent your dad a room upstairs...ahh a glimmer of hope....

We head upstairs and the room is decent! And we asked how often the boys had band practice and they said twice a week and we just figured that if dad could get his tv hooked up then he could turn the volume up and not have to listen to it. So, we decided right then and there that this was the room for him. YAY no more searching!

That was last week. Today we move him in to his new place.

What a mess all of this has been but hopefully after this we won't have to do it again. Wish us luck!

Change of Plans

My lil sweetheart hurt his back at work today so we are not going to be hauling stuff to value villiage and the dump this weekend.

His back isn't seriously hurt but it is quite sore. This has always been a trouble area for him unfortunitely and thankfully it isn't as painful for him as other times but he definitely needs a few days of rest. Good thing it happened on a Friday...two days to recouperate!

So please send good thoughts and prayers his way for a speedy recovery.

Thanks guys!

Progress

Last Sunday we went around to different carpet places checking out pricing etc. and we found a good deal and "End of the Roll" and so we purchased your basic berber for our basement. We also purchased lino for the bathroom down here just cuz the old stuff was kinda boring...everything in that bathroom is white and we wanted to break it up with something darker. Everything was installed on Tuesday/Wednesday of this week and it looks fabulous. We have a few more projects to complete in the basement and then it's done! YAY!
This weekend our job is to take a bunch of stuff to value villiage and the dump. We are getting rid of as much unnecessary stuff as possible. Clutter is no good when you are trying to sell your house!
So now I will leave you with a few pictures of the basement and one of the lino color we chose.

Baby Update

I had an ultrasound yesterday morning and everything looked really good. He did his practice breathing and was in the right position and all that. The tech lady commented on what chubby cheeks he seems to have.
Umm...he is weighing in at 5 pounds 12 ounces and so if I do in fact get induced at 37 weeks he will be around 8 pounds. YIKES! He's gonna be a big boy :-) Can't wait to pinch those chubby cheeks..hehe

So, that's all. He is good and I am good. I am very big and have gained a lot of weight already..exactly 60 pounds. I am going to have a lot of work to do once he gets out!

34 Week Belly Shot

Sorry don't have much time to post anything lately. But here's a quick pic of the every growing belly with an increasing number of stretch marks..ICK!

Will write a lil more tomorrow as I have another ultrasound and doc's appt.
