Electricty/Power/The thing that makes everything work!

The other night the power went out at around 1000pm and we were left with no heat (we have electric baseboards & a pellet stove). It was only about -3 outside thankfully so although we were quite cold, it could have been MUCH worse! Nobody got much sleep that night because it was just too chilly for Briella downstairs so she needed a snuggler and Braeden needed that also. King size beds are great for a family of four and a little doggie :)

When Mark got up for work at 630am the power still was not on and we were a little bit worried because it was so chilly and also we couldn't even use the water since it's powered by an electric pump..ack! Not to mention the wonderful show "MIGHTY MACHINES could not be played which was a horrible thing for poor Braeden. The boy is obsessed with that show.

I can tell you that I was never so happy to have the power back on and I now have a far greater appreciation for the wonderful invention. It affects every part of daily life and without it it sadly makes things difficult.

We are now planning on getting a little generator in case that happens again. At least something so we could have heat!
