My beautiful puppy, Lucky, was killed last night by a truck that hit him going at least 70 km/hr. The arsehole didn't even stop. I am just glad that it was instant for Lucky.
He was such a sweet, smart and loving dog who made it to 14 years old which is pretty darn good! He will be greatly missed. Braeden loved to chase him around and around the house and Lucky was always so gentle with him. Everyone's comments about Lucky were always the same...he was very loved by so many.
He did pretty well for a doggie...he began his life in Savona, BC and spent many happy years swimming and chasing flies and playing soccer and frisbie and chasing sticks and making puppies and making lots of friends. He had his best friend back then - my Mom! Those two were so close and Lucky loved her fiercely.
Lucky then moved to Calgary where he lived with us for almost three years and then this summer we moved to New Brunswick and he flew on an airplane for the first time. So for a dog he got around pretty well...how many dogs can say they went from one end of the country almost all the way to the other!
Rest in Peace my pup we will remember you always and love you forever.
xoxo

Oh I am so sorry. Animals are so special in our lives and it is so hard to lose them like that! Sounds like he was a great dog and I'm glad you have lots of good memories with him!!
Oh Carrie, that's bad at any time, BUT you don't need the extra stress right now. You should settle down for a while, before you go into premature labor.
As long as it was quick for "Lucky". There is also no excuse for not stopping.
Condolences
