We did the early Christmas thing again this year and spent 4 full days in Vancouver - well Port Moody actually, visiting my Mom and her boyfriend Joe, as well as my Ant & Unc and cousin Corey.
We arrived early on Friday morning and were met by my Ant & Unc. We spent a lovely day together driving around the city and stopping for lunch at this great restaurant on Grandville Island.
We then headed back to their place where we played Nintendo Wii (bowling) which was so fun! My Mom and Joe got there around dinner time and we enjoyed a dinner together and then headed back to their place where we were staying.
The following day we relaxed all morning and then headed to the mall for a bit in the afternoon so that I could purchase a pair of jeans that actually FIT ME and Mom and Joe had a bit of shopping to do as well.
We then headed to a fabulous greek restaurant and had a delicious dinner there and our plan was to head back to the apartment to watch a movie but the boys both fell asleep! And snoring - my goodness what a racket! hahahahaha!!!
So, on Sunday Mark and I woke up bright and early and relaxed for a few hours waiting for Mom n' Joe to wake up. We then took our time getting ready and headed over to Ant & Unc's place as Mom and Joe were hosting a big family dinner that night over there.
Mom made the turkey dinner with was awesome and we had a bowling tournament on the Wii which was so fun. My cousin Corey showed up and he and I went out for a bit in search of batteries for my camera and had ourselves a nice lil visit.
Joe's daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids showed up shortly after Corey and I got back and the focus was again the Nintento wii as the kids enjoyed playing. That Wii really is a great source of entertainment for young and old alike!
So, dinner was ready and what a feast it was. My Mom is the best cook ever! It was sooooooo delicous and we were all so stuffed afterwards! Thank you Mom for making dinner!!!!
A lil while after dinner we all went home and headed to bed.
Monday was our last full day and we headed out to Fort Langley with Mom and Joe and the Ant. We rode on the ferry which was a whole 3-5 min ride (woohoo ) and stopped and had lunch at a pub there where we met up with Mom and Ant's good friend "Ninney". It was so nice to see you again, Ninney :-) Thanks for coming and hanging out with us for awhile!!!
After lunch we headed to the fort where we spent time going through the buildings and listening to the various people telling us stories about the fort and how life was back then. It was so cool! We learned a lot!
We then headed back to Mom n' Joe's place where we said goodbye to Ant and went inside where we relaxed for a bit and then had to head to Abbotsford to the airport. We had a quick lil dinner there and then had to say goodbye which is always sad but Mom will be out here in less then two months when baby is born so that will be awesome!
So, there you have it - another great trip to the coast and a wonderful visit with the family :-) Love you guys!!!!!
